I have a Ender 5 pro for a few years and have been happy with it mostly.
A month ago, during a print, I noticed the extruder was not extruding. My first thought was that the hot end was clogged. I removed the unit and cleaned it. I installed a new nozzle. I started a print and the same thing happened. I then tested the extruder by setting the hot end temp to 200C and then tried to move the extruder 1mm at a time, nothing happened, the extruder did not move any filament. I thought that maybe the stepper motor or the wires were bad. I hooked up everything to new wires and stepper, repeated the process, nothing. I then ordered a new board and flashed it for this machine. It ran a couple of prints and now it’s back to the same issue.
I cannot figure this out. Has anyone had a similar issue? Any fixes?
Thanks

I have an Ender3 V3 SE and it is doing the same thing. I just wanted you to know there is another printer doing the same but I do not have an answer on this yet. I will check back to see if you get an answer.
Frustrated!

Sorry, I never figured out the issue. On this printer, I changed out the motherboard, the cable to the controlling stepper motor, changed out the stepper motor, even re-flashed the software. Still have not figured it out. Going directly to Creality is a waste of time. Luckily I have a couple of other printers that work great. I recommend going to a Bambu Lab printer, these printers have far less issues than creality

Thank you for you response. I am actuality looking into Bambu Lab printers now. I have two Creality Printers. I have a SE and a KE. I have printed a lot of items in the past two years but I have had several issues. This time I am unable to resolve either one of my printer issues. I guess I have gotten my moneys worth out of these but it is time to move on. Again, thank you for your helpl
