i've been chasing a problem that I've never seen in 10 years of printing. All my prints are not extruding after a half dozen layers. Even those with gcode that has printed fine in the past. I think I've found the issue but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I can not remove the filament (1.75) from the bowden tube. i removed the tub from the printer and found that the filament has somehow welded itself to the tube. i tried another tube (different brand) with the same results. Maybe both of these tubes are bad, but before I throw more money at the problem, i thought i'd post it here to see if I am overlooking something.
So far I've tried...
  1. replacing the tip
  2. replacing the extruder - both of these before finding that the filament was completely frozen in the tube
  3. tried different filament from different venders that ive used before
  4. trying a different tube - two different amazon venders - same results on both
i suspect that too much heat is being transferred to the tube and allowing the filament to melt to the side of the tube but is a wild guess. I tried cutting the tube to see where the problem was but even after snipping away the couple inches closest to where ut connecter to the hot end, the tube wouldn't budge.

This leaves me with two questions:
  1. Has anyone ever rum into this and solved it? if so, how?
  2. If you think the tube is the problem, what source would you suggest for my next purchase a relacement tube.
thank you in advance for any guidance you can provide
Charlie
