There's usually nothing wrong with the fan. Basic suggestions are:
1. Remove the hot end cover and nozzle plate, check whether the screws fixing the heat sink block fall into the duct fan, and tighten the screws fixing the heat sink block fan.
2. Re-insert the terminals of the duct fan.
3. Replace the duct fan .
I have found that more often than not, the problem is with the PCBA Board to which the fan is inserted into. You may only have a loose connection. Overtime this board seems to simply wear out and a new one will correct this error 90% of the time. For an inexpensive PCBA Board, check out AliExpress.com. The prices are great. Shipping is often free. And for basic items like this board you won't get scammed as is possible with other products. However, you will have to be patient. The part is coming from China and will usually take 1-2 weeks to get to you. The prices on eBay and Amazon are typically twice that for AliExpress.
